£9 a month can make all the difference to someone vulnerable.

As a small charity, we know the name and story of every person your support helps. Let’s keep adding to that list.

Your generosity in action

In April 2022 we awarded 118 personal grants to help homeless people rebuild their lives, and funded activities and events across the country.

  • May 2022

CHT funded equipment for fitness sessions where residents could play football and improve their skills, all the while improving their physical and mental health. It was a great success.

  • May 2022

James spent years on the street struggling with substance abuse and mental health problems. Now he’s determined to stay clean and have a home of his own. CHT funded a TV to help him alleviate boredom as he recovers.

  • Apr 2022

Larry needed new clothes and shoes after he was made homeless and lost all his possessions. Now he feels more confident in his appearance, and his new shoes have made it much easier for him to cope with an existing injury.

  • Apr 2022

“I survived by just living. I begun to take drugs to escape my reality because I didn’t know how to cope. I was contemplating to go back to jail, just so I had a roof over my head.” Sadly, Adam’s story is all too common. CHT supported him with essentials.

Interested in hosting a CHTea?

Host an Afternoon Tea with five of your friends in aid of Church Homeless Trust.

Enjoy tea, scones and lovely little sandwiches all while raising money and awareness for people with very little.

When five or more of your friends make a donation to CHT (big or small!) then you will receive a free CHTea cup to use at your next CHTea!

Rebuilding broken lives

We are a small charity that helps homeless people in England rebuild their lives away from the streets.

Our grants provide individual homeless people the financial support they need to make the next step in their lives.

And we fund projects that help build the skills and self-confidence that enable people to progress from the streets to a secure home of their own.
