£9 a month can make all the difference to someone vulnerable.
As a small charity, we know the name and story of every person your support helps. Let’s keep adding to that list.
World Homeless Week will be 9-16th October 2022
World Homeless Week is a time to raise money and awareness for the plight of homeless individuals, as-well as people living on the poverty line and those in danger of homelessness.
This October, it is more important than ever to support people living on the breadline. As rising energy prices, rent and the cost of living crisis drive many into desperate situations right as it begins to get cold.
You can find out more about World Homeless Week and what you can do to make a difference by clicking here.
We are particularly encouraging churches to reach out and commit to a special World Homeless Week service, for which we provide a free pack including an order of service here.
Your generosity in action
In July 2022 we awarded 99 personal grants to help homeless people rebuild their lives, and funded activities and events across the country.
CHT funded equipment for fitness sessions where residents could play football and improve their skills, all the while improving their physical and mental health. It was a great success.
James spent years on the street struggling with substance abuse and mental health problems. Now he’s determined to stay clean and have a home of his own. CHT funded a TV to help him alleviate boredom as he recovers.
Larry needed new clothes and shoes after he was made homeless and lost all his possessions. Now he feels more confident in his appearance, and his new shoes have made it much easier for him to cope with an existing injury.
“I survived by just living. I begun to take drugs to escape my reality because I didn’t know how to cope. I was contemplating to go back to jail, just so I had a roof over my head.” Sadly, Adam’s story is all too common. CHT supported him with essentials.

Rebuilding broken lives
We are a small charity that helps homeless people in England rebuild their lives away from the streets.
Our grants provide individual homeless people the financial support they need to make the next step in their lives.
And we fund projects that help build the skills and self-confidence that enable people to progress from the streets to a secure home of their own.
