Ambassadors

Church Homeless Trust are proudly represented by our ambassadors, who represent Church Homeless Trust in their workplaces, communities and churches. Our ambassadors help us by spreading our message, talking about homelessness and even doing fundraisers as well as being involved with the charity in various other ways. Would you like to be an ambassador? Check out the role below.

Lee Bailey

Lee is Riverside’s National Volunteering Manager and has over 20 years’ experience in the volunteering and housing sectors.

He is the lead on Riverside’s Volunteering and Lived Experience placement programmes which aim to build confidence, skills and real experiences of work for those who have experienced homelessness and support them to make positive changes in their lives.

Lee is a strong advocate of Church Homeless Trust having worked closely with them since 2017.

Rev. Grace Thomas

Grace is a priest currently serving in the Diocese of Manchester. Prior to her ordination into the church, Grace worked as a family support worker in a challenging area of Salford, and a large part of her role was supporting vulnerable individuals and families. Grace originally trained as a nurse, and worked in emergency medicine, women’s health and research for twelve years.

Having had experience of homelessness herself, Grace is committed in her ministry to reaching out to people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. She assists in a city-wide project that provides a rolling shelter during the winter months, and works actively with agencies to support people in the area who have housing, financial and emotional needs. Grace also coordinates a local project aimed at reducing social isolation and is passionate about exploring ways in which communities can work together to improve the lives of all
