If you receive donations we are able to accept them tax-free and ring-fence them for their purpose. We can also claim Gift Aid against them.
When you send us a donation for your service, please fill in a Donations Received form below so we know to expect the money and what it is intended for. We do not send donations directly to you – we ring-fence them so that you may use them as needed. To use the funding, please apply through our Application Forms.
It is very important that you fill in the form below with details of your scheme, the donation, and the donor. If a donation is for a specific purpose, eg a garden project or individual, please state this clearly on the form. This helps us identify the money when it arrives and ring-fence it for the right purpose.
Sending the Donations
It is easiest if the donor sends payment directly to us.
- 1. Banks no longer accept cash without a paying-in slip. You may get a postal order for the cash at the Post Office.
- 2. Send a cheque made payable to Church Homeless Trust.
- 3. Put money into our account by BACS transfer with your scheme name as reference.
Our bank details are:
Sort code: 20 67 37
Account number: 90305189
Using the Funds
To use donated funds, please use the Application Forms as you would for any other grant. You do not need to draw down all funds at once. When requesting funds against a specific donation that was sent in, please make this clear in the application.
You can apply to us for funding if you have not raised donations for your service.
If you have a larger, ongoing project that you want to raise funding for, such as an on-site garden project, please get in touch with Sam Gibbons to discuss it.
