World Homeless Week is from the 4-11 October 2020 and is a chance to raise awareness of the thousands of homeless people in England today. Whether they are sleeping rough in bus shelters and parks, sofa-surfing with friends or living in precarious emergency accommodation, they need our help to rebuild their lives.
World Homeless Week 2020 is a particularly important event, as hundreds of thousands of people are faced with an uncertain and precarious future, many having been threatened with eviction due to the coronavirus pandemic. We have already given thousands in support throughout the last six months to those affected by COVID-19, and with your help we can continue to do so.
£17 a month can mean the difference between someone sleeping in a bare flat, and having a warm bed to sleep in.
£17 a month can be the difference between children being sent to school in their old uniforms, versus feeling confident and happy in school.
£17 a month can be the first month’s rent on a flat for someone who has been sleeping rough for years.

This World Homeless Week, you can make a difference.
World Homeless Week is from the 4-11th October, and this year we want it to be bigger and better than ever.
There are so many vulnerable people, either homeless or threatened with homelessness due to the uncertainty of the last six months, and they need us now more than ever. The last thing we want is for these people to be forgotten, or allowed to slip through the cracks.
Every donation made in World Homeless Week goes towards helping those that are suffering.

Events in World Homeless Week
There are many ways to raise money during World Homeless Week, and for ideas at to how you can get involved, please download our Fundraising Ideas pack here.
On the 10th October we will be doing our first ever ‘Garden Sleep Out’.
Sleep Out’s are a great way to raise money and awareness for homeless people, but this year we’re doing it a little differently. Given the current situation, we’re asking families to get out into their gardens or living rooms and have their own personal sleep out. You can either get sponsored by friends and family, or simply make a donation (we suggest £5.00 per sleeper) and then send your photos to info@churchhomelesstrust.org.uk or put them on social media with the tag #WHW2020.
At the end of the week, the best picture will be chosen to appear on our website for the next year!
