Dutch students help rough sleepers
International guests also made their mark during World Homeless Week.
Church Homeless Trust was pleased to run a workshop with a group of students visiting London from the Van Lodenstein school in Holland.
The students visited the Trust and made care packages with personal notes of encouragement for rough sleepers.
One student wrote:
“We think of you and will pray for you.”
The students also visited St Stephen’s church in Westminster to talk to the Street Buddies, formerly homeless people who now provide volunteer outreach support to rough sleepers in the city.
They heard first-hand about the Street Buddies’ experiences and took part in activities to help them understand poverty and homelessness in England.
Huge thanks to theVan Lodenstein school for arranging the trip.
