There are still thousands of homeless people sleeping rough tonight.
COVID-19 has plunged many people into a terrible situation. More people have registered for Universal Credit than ever before and thousands of people are suddenly unable to pay their rent, all the while worrying about their health and that of their loved ones.
Homeless people are particularly vulnerable to this vicious disease, often having pre-existing health conditions and with many regularly spending nights out in the cold.
How we help
As services struggle to cope with diminishing donations and volunteers are forced to self-isolate, we are doing everything we can to support them. Every week since the pandemic began, we have donated thousands towards special coronavirus measures being implemented at shelters and supported accommodation across the country. This allows them to keep supporting the people who need them to make it through this terrible pandemic.
We now send a regular newsletter to our supporters to keep them up to date with the latest news around the pandemic.
